Brussels, May 3, 2016 (AFP) - Chemical multinational Solvay announced Tuesday an agreement to sell 70,59 percent of its stake in Argentine petrochemical company Solvay Indupa to Brazilian Unipar Carbocloro. The total value of the company is $202,2 million, the group said, and the sale is subject to approval by competition authorities. The petrochemical company Solvay Indupa, founded in 1948, produces PVC and caustic soda. It has 956 employees, divided between two factories in Brazil and Argentina.
